Adeshola Adejuyigbe
Home Manager
My name is Adeshola, the Home Manager at Downham Grange. I have a nursing background, and have worked in different sectors from NHS and private hospitals before going into community care. I also have experience within mental health care. I have worked in large and small care homes, dealing with concerns and supporting staff to deliver holistic care. Joining Kingsley Healthcare has been the best decision, the company is supportive of work and the role is very fulfilling. Staff are great and passionate about their job, which is reflected in the care delivered to individual residents. The residents are lovely and full of joy and I’m proud to be a member of this passionate and caring team. When I am not at work, I love to listen to music, Kenny Rogers is my favourite. Also, I love to play games that stimulate the brain.

Lois Darkins
Deputy Manager
My nursing experience was in learning disability and mental health services for a number of years. I started working with the elderly 10 years ago and joined Downham Grange in March 2023. I enjoy working here because of the fabulous team and the feeling of moving forward for the sake of the residents. When I’m not working, I enjoy a swim in the morning, walking my dogs and love a good book.

Anchalee Pearce
Hospitality Host
I was previously a care assistant and housewife. I originally started at Downham Grange in 2014 as a carer and then was given the opportunity to be Head Chef. I left in 2021 to set up my own business in Norway but missed family too much so I returned to the UK and re-joined Kingsley in December 2023 as Hospitality Host. Working here is like working with family, I love the residents and treat them like my own grandparents. I enjoy cooking, gardening and taking my son out to do activities. Enjoy baking and people eating my cakes!

Jenny Barnes
Administrator
I have worked as the Business Administrator at Downham Grange since June 2023. Previously, I worked as an Admin Manager for Children’s Social Care for nearly 14 years. I really enjoy my varied role as no day is the same and it keeps me busy. I love interacting with the residents and family members. I am working towards improving the administration function within the home to ensure residents and staff have a strong admin team. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, travelling and spoiling my two dogs.

Sue James
Receptionist
I have worked at Downham Grange for 4 months now as a receptionist / home administrator and am enjoying getting to know the residents, their families and all the staff. Before working at Kingsley, I had taken time off to help my dad look after my mum who is now in a care home after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. When not at work I enjoy going out with friends, music and live concerts. Also, when it’s not raining, I like to go out for a ride on my motorcycle.

Wendy Greeves
Activities & Lifestyle Co-ordinator
I’ve worked here since 2019, initially as a support worker but shortly after I transferred to the activities team. It’s important to understand the residents needs and be person centred with activities. I love the residents at Downham Grange, talking with them and hearing their stories. When not at work, I have an arts & crafts shed so spend a lot of time in there getting things ready for Christmas. I also enjoy baking fruitcakes and time in my garden.

Cressida Daglish
Regional Operations Manager
I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse and I have worked in the care sector for over 30 years in a variety of settings, in both the private and public sector. Before my current role, I was working at a regional level in acute mental health services. I think a real strong point of Kingsley is the good teamwork, not just in our homes but at head office and in the relationship between head office and the homes. You find supportive people across the board. Outside of work I love going to the theatre and spending time with family and friends.

Carol Preston
Operations Manager
I have worked in the care sector for 45 years, beginning my journey as a health care assistant in a busy A and E department. Before joining Kingsley, I have worked in regional management roles for the past 20 years. I love the fact that Kingsley is a family business with family values that mean we treat our residents and colleagues like members of our own family. Outside of work, I love going on country walks with my Saluki, Ed, and I have a variety of other interests including yoga. I am a Reiki practitioner.

Jonathan Ellis
Service Quality Manager
Before coming to Kingsley I was an inspector at the Care Quality Commission and, prior to that, my background as a manager and nurse included considerable experience in service development and quality delivery in the NHS. I admire Kingsley’s very person-centred approach to care and it is a pleasure for me to work with our dedicated home teams to achieve a Good CQC rating, at a minimum, in every one of our services.
