About the role
Join Us at the Very Start – Support Worker, Broads View
As a Support Worker at Broads View, you will join a newly registered specialist learning disability service at the very start of its journey. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a service from day one — setting standards, embedding best practice, and playing a vital role in building a confident, high-performing team.
You will support people with personal care and daily living activities, always promoting dignity, autonomy, and individual choice, while delivering safe, consistent, and high-quality support in line with each person’s needs and aspirations.
Broads View is a brand-new service, thoughtfully designed to support people with moderate and complex needs who benefit from a calm, structured, and low-arousal environment. As part of the start-up team, you’ll help establish a strong, values-led culture, influence how support is delivered, and take pride in being part of something built the right way from the outset.
Our care is delivered through a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework, with a strong focus on person-centred practice, inclusion, participation, and growing independence. Our environment and support plans are designed to evolve with each individual, supporting people to live meaningful, fulfilling lives within their community.
In this role, you will actively interpret communication, anticipate needs, and implement proactive support strategies, including teaching alternative skills to reduce distress and behaviours of concern. You will model PBS practice in your day-to-day work and positively influence colleagues to embed this approach across all aspects of support.
Kingsley Specialist Services provides support for people with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who would benefit from living in a more peaceful setting.
