We are looking for a compassionate, supportive and kind Senior Support Worker to become part of our proud team at Brooke House in Brooke, Norwich. 
The Senior Support Worker position is offering 36 hours per week (DAY or NIGHTS shifts available) at a pay rate up to £10.00 per hour (subject to experience).

Within this role you will work as part of a team to maintain the personal care needs of residents, respecting the dignity of the individuals and promoting independence. To ensure that care services are consistently provided at a high-quality standard, as well as assist in the care of the resident’s physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home.

You will be responsible for organising your shifts, administering and recording medication, liaising with health professionals and recording to the residents computerised care plans. You will assist with the induction, training and supervision of Support Workers.  You will assist residents who have limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of mobility aids and personal equipment provided.


Criteria / Person Specification

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience of supervising a care team, with NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience of the needs of the residents.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Undertake mandatory training.
