This is a special role that emphasises on ensuring our
residents and their families are supported and engaged in life within The
Willows Nursing Home in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
This is position is offering 32 hours per week, varied
shifts (9am-3pm/9am-5pm) and flexibility is required to work some evenings and
weekends where an event or activity has been scheduled.
The pay rate is up to £8.50 per hour (subject to
experience)
Key responsibilities:
-To maintain a stimulating programme of leisure pursuits
and social events for both groups of residents and on an individual basis.
-Produce a weekly social events programme and ensure that
it is advertised within the home and through external channels (marketing team,
social media...).
-To organise social and recreational events within (tea
parties, fetes, craft fairs...) and outside the home (music groups, dramatic
societies, schools, colleges...).
-To assess on a regular basis the effectiveness of the
programme of social events and recreational pursuits.
-Responsible for maintaining the annual activities
planner.
-Establish relationships with the local community.
-To attend appropriate training courses and/or programmes
to enhance personal and professional knowledge and skills.
