We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Manager at our Downham Grange Nursing Home in Downham Market, Norfolk. Downham Grange is a purpose built nursing home registered for 62-beds. The home specialises in the private market.


In order to be considered for this exciting role as Clinical Manager you will be a qualified Nurse with proven leadership and expertise in clinical practise with a passion for achieving high levels of care.  You will work in conjunction with the General Manager to develop a coherent and effective team who provide the quality of care our residents deserve. Together you will manage and be responsible for all aspects of the service and CQC, ensuring all service users receive the highest standard of care.


You will be fully supported in your role by a General Manager, Operations Manager and Service Quality Manager, as well as a full Head Office team.


The home is currently rated as ‘requires improvement’ as we have had some recent difficulties but we are working through a plan. It was previously rated ‘good’ and for the right candidate this can be turned around quickly.

Criteria / Person Specification

The ideal candidate for this position must have:

  • RGN or RMN qualification with an active NMC pin
  • A proven track record of leading a care home team in the delivery of person-centred care; including planning, implementing and evaluating 
  • Experience of delivering quality clinical and person-first assessments.
  • The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide an excellent service of person centred care.
  • Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
  • Promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
  • Confidence to communicate and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of colleagues, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors.
  • Eligibility to work within the U.K.
