This is a special role that emphasises on ensuring our residents and their families are supported and engaged in life within Woodbridge Residential Home in Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12.
This is a part time, working 18 hours per week, shifts will be 10am-4pm with weekends.
Flexibility is required to work some evenings and weekends where an event or activity has been scheduled.
The pay rate is up to £8.70 per hour (subject to experience)
Within this role you will ensure residents have the opportunity to participate in activities within the home as well as assist in the care of the resident’s physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the care home. You will improve the well being and overall health of the people living in the home and ensure that services are consistently provided to a high-quality standard.
Criteria / Person Specification
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience within a similar role,
An ability to show empathy, understanding and experience of the needs of the residents
Well-developed time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
An ability to make balanced, clear and timely decisions
An NVQ level 1 or 2 in Health & Social Care would be advantageous
Knowledge of food hygiene preparation or a willingness to learn.
