We are here to care

kingsley healthcare founders

We bought our first care home in Lowestoft, Suffolk, in 1999. Since then, our business has grown into a carehome.co.uk top-20 ranked national large care home group and branched out into acclaimed learning disability services and equally successful Kingsley Home Care.

Our Kingsley Vision 2025 looks to an even more vibrant future with a pipeline of next-generation care homes coming on stream, taking our standards to an even higher level.

However, despite transformational change, the vision for Sumi and I, as well as our sons Cameron and Ewan who have come on board, remains the same: a family business caring for residents and staff like members of our own family.

To answer any questions regarding your specific care needs and how we can support them, feel free to get in touch with any of our care homes either via email or telephone. We would be delighted to answer any questions you may have.

In fact, why not visit one of our care homes and get a true feel for the Kingsley Way.

Our journey

Happy resident and care home staff member

Kingsley Healthcare was founded in 1999 by Daya Thayan, our CEO, and his wife, Sumi. Starting with one care home in Lowestoft, Suffolk, Kingsley has rapidly evolved into a leading care provider, employing nearly 2,400 staff and caring for 1,700 residents in 39 care homes across the country.

We may have come a long way, but we are proud of the fact that our values remain the same as when our story began: our residents are at the heart of everything we do, and every one of our care homes has to be somewhere we would be happy to place our own parents.

The future for Kingsley

Kingsley Healthcare is committed to investing in and growing our business, currently delivering person-centred care to 1700 residents across 39 homes. A significant sum has been earmarked for the redevelopment and upgrading of existing homes.

This future-proofing programme will run alongside our strategy of introducing new builds annually over the next five years. In addition, we aim to continue the expansion of our award-winning specialist services, following the successful commissioning of our learning disability centre, Glebe Farm, in 2018.
